Academic Advising – Student Assistant

NOTE: This job will continue through the summer, and be ongoing into the next academic year. 

Academic Advising is seeking outgoing and engaging students who wish to assist with getting students connected to their Academic Advisors.

The student worker will be responsible for the following:

  • Greet students as they enter the Academic Advising office
  • Make appointments with academic advisors (incoming/outgoing calls)
  • Direct calls appropriately
  • Answer phones and take messages for Advising staff
  • Complete departmental projects as needed
  • May occasionally serve as backup for Admissions and/or One Stop student worker(s)

This position requires excellent communication and leadership skills.  Must be detail-oriented.

Approximately 20 hours per week.

$9.50 per hour

Human Resources/Marketing Intern – Park National Bank

NOTE: The schedule for this position is flexible, and the Client is willing to work around classes, within reason. 

The Human Resources/Marketing Intern will provide support for the affiliate-level Human Resources & Marketing functions.


Human Resources

  • Involved in new associate orientation (review benefits, discuss bank history and service excellence, fingerprint new hires, obtain required paperwork and follow procedures for proper storage)
  • Support the Training Committee in the management of internal classes, distribution of course evaluations, and training recognition program
  • Support the coordination and planning of associate functions, such as the monthly all associate meeting, training recognition breakfast, new associate quarterly lunches, and other employee events
  • Assist with timekeeping and incentive processing (i.e. collect documents, complete spreadsheet, pull reports, send out communications as necessary)
  • Assist associates with basis benefit questions
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Contribute to written communications projects, such as newsletters, email communications and social media posts
  • Assist with the production, organization, recording and distribution of various marketing and communication pieces
  • Organize and maintain marketing files, event documentation, and advertising tear sheets
  • Assist with internal and community events including planning, setup and participation along with maintaining the community events calendar
  • Assist with implementation of PSW Social Media Strategy
  • Other duties as assigned

Customer Service Intern – Lykins Energy

At Lykins Energy, the corporate customers we work with are critical to our business. The Customer Service Intern will work with our team to ensure that accounts are managed properly and accurately. Tasks include:

  • Help with month-end financial reports
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliation
  • Research and update Customer and Fixed Asset records
  • Assist with the preparation of ad hoc and other internal reports
  • Ensure the completion of assigned tasks in line with established deadline
  • Assist with the semi-annual physical inventory
  • Study the accounting policies and processes of the organization and abide by them
  • File and scan records
  • Assist the coordinator with month-end financial reports
  • Manage monthly tracking of physical inventory

IT Intern – Lykins Energy

IT Infrastructure Internship – Spring/Summer 2017

The Information Technology Division of Lykins Energy Solutions is looking for an intern to contribute in a variety of ways to the IT Infrastructure department. This intern will have the opportunity to gain real world experience within information systems and assist the team with tasks which could include the following:

  • Under the direction of experienced engineers, analyze and design technical solutions to address business needs
  • Assist with troubleshooting to increase quality of systems Identify, investigate and propose solutions to technical problems
  • Participate in enhancing and automating tools and processes to improve efficiency of internal operating systems and infrastructure components
  • Provide technical support for issues surrounding software/hardware failures and the like
  • Monitor infrastructure performance to maintain consistent uptime
  • Prepare and maintain necessary documentation
  • Perform operational activities around server maintenance, storage system maintenance, planning and troubleshooting
  • Perform installations and maintenance to servers, operating systems and other infrastructure components including storage arrays
  • Monitor and tune the systems to achieve optimum level of performance and utilization
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Ideal candidate will be pursuing a degree in computer science, information systems, or related degree, with an interest in IT operations, infrastructure, system administration, etc.
  • Strong interest in information systems and infrastructure
  • Special consideration given for skills and/or interest in scripting (such as shell scripting, Perl, PowerShell or similar languages)
  • Requires strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills

Student Worker – Business Office (Accounting/Business Majors)

The UC Clermont Business Office is looking for a student worker for about eight hours a week.

Preference is for students someone majoring in Accounting or Business. In addition to new skill development, this position is will provide a nice first experience in a business/accounting setting.

The student will primarily:

  • Do preliminary reviews of financial paperwork – Business Office will train on the rules and how to read the accounting codes, terms.
  • Filing, college errands
  • Special project help, some events, be willing to help other departments during times of need.

Pay is $10/hr. Not required to be Federal Work-Study.
