Academic Advising – Student Assistant

NOTE: This job will continue through the summer, and be ongoing into the next academic year. 

Academic Advising is seeking outgoing and engaging students who wish to assist with getting students connected to their Academic Advisors.

The student worker will be responsible for the following:

  • Greet students as they enter the Academic Advising office
  • Make appointments with academic advisors (incoming/outgoing calls)
  • Direct calls appropriately
  • Answer phones and take messages for Advising staff
  • Complete departmental projects as needed
  • May occasionally serve as backup for Admissions and/or One Stop student worker(s)

This position requires excellent communication and leadership skills.  Must be detail-oriented.

Approximately 20 hours per week.

$9.50 per hour

Student Worker – Business Office (Accounting/Business Majors)

The UC Clermont Business Office is looking for a student worker for about eight hours a week.

Preference is for students someone majoring in Accounting or Business. In addition to new skill development, this position is will provide a nice first experience in a business/accounting setting.

The student will primarily:

  • Do preliminary reviews of financial paperwork – Business Office will train on the rules and how to read the accounting codes, terms.
  • Filing, college errands
  • Special project help, some events, be willing to help other departments during times of need.

Pay is $10/hr. Not required to be Federal Work-Study.

Marketing Assistant – Career Services (UC Clermont Work-Study)

Marketing Assistant
The Career Services office is looking for a Marketing Assistant to help develop and manage the “voice”of Career Services. If you’re active on SnapChat, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and even Facebook, and are open to the challenge of harnessing the power of social for career goodness – this job is for you. Do you love helping to promote events? As the Marketing Assistant you’ll help out with all Career Services events, ensuring they are a success. You will:
  • Come up with a social strategy for social media channels, and develop a calendar
  • Help promote Career Services events
  • Aid in day-of activities for Career Services events
  • Write marketing materials
  • Share, share, share and help grow Career Services engagement!
Minimum 2.5 GPA. Hours are flexible, 10 hours per week at most. Pay is $10/hr. Open to students in any major who are able to do the job.
